There are several sections that make up the Police Station and they all must work together in order for the city to be as safe as possible. One of the most influential sections of the Station is the volunteer section. This section allows people of the community to get more involved in the City’s decision-making, which in turn will make the city a better place to live in.
One of the volunteer’s main responsibilities are to patrol the city and be another set of eyes and ears for the police. They are also responsible for setting up road blocks as well as directing traffic when there is a road block or a checkpoint. With all of these sections put into place, West Hollywood has become one of the safest cities in the county of Los Angeles. When you are arrested in the city of West Hollywood or its neighboring cities, you will most likely be taken to the West Hollywood Police Station. This is where you will be booked and processed and will remain until your court date, you are bailed out of jail, or you are transferred to the county jail.
When the police station finishes all of the paperwork, they will send all of the arrest information to the Clara Shortridge Foltz Criminal Justice Center, where the District Attorney will decide to write up a case for the arrest or dismiss the case. This is the courthouse that you will be fighting your case at and they will give you a court date at the end of your arrest or when you are bailed out of jail.
